A reunion movie for the TV series Baywatch that ran from 1989-1990 on NBC and then from 1991-2001 in syndication. Filming took place in Oahu, Hawaii in September of 2002. The movie aired on February 28, 2003 on FOX and was then later released on DVD June 3, 2003. The main story finds Mitch Buchannon alive and well after his character had mysteriously disappeared in David Hasselhoff’s final Baywatch episode in May 2000. Mitch is reunited with several characters past and present and also finds himself falling in love with a woman who looks exactly like Stephanie Holden, named Allison. This movie consists of several subplots with a lot of the characters as well. Neely Capshaw tries to woo Mitch back, as well as put a stop to the wedding that is being planned. Caroline Holden is now a soap opera star, and she decides to take some time off after Neely’s call to action for help. Summer Quinn returns to the beach as a lifegaurd where she and Hobie begin seeing each other. While Mitch and Allison are planning their wedding, CJ Parker invites them all to Hawaii where she has just opened CJ’s Bar & Grill at the Turtle Bay Resort. Eddie Kramer and John Cort also show up and run into CJ and Lani. The gang then heads for Haiku Island per Allison’s request and that’s when the real adventure begins, where they soon come in contact with an old rival from Mitch’s past.
